Who We Are

Rannoch Quail is one of Australia’s most respected specialist quail producers, with a story dating back to 1979. What began as a small hobby farm has grown into a premium Tasmanian poultry business, built on persistence, quality and a belief that quail deserved a place on Australian menus. Today, Rannoch Quail is based in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, where the cool, dry and stable climate provides ideal conditions for raising exceptional birds. Under Daniel’s care, the business continues to honour its legacy while investing in modern farming systems, strict protocols and consistent daily care.

Every bird is hatched, raised, processed and packed on farm through a fully integrated, closed-loop system. This gives Rannoch Quail complete oversight from egg collection through to finished product, while reducing transport stress and environmental impact. Animal welfare, sustainability and product quality sit at the centre of every decision, with organic by-products composted and returned to the land as nutrient-rich fertiliser. For chefs, retailers and wholesalers, Rannoch Quail offers a premium product with strong provenance, reliable supply and a story grounded in Tasmanian farming, done properly.
